About SeedTrust Group

SeedTrust Group is a family of companies working in the assisted-reproduction space. Our businesses provide escrow and financial management for surrogacy, egg donation and fertility journeys, medical records collection, case-management software and payment management.

We handle client funds, payment data and sensitive personal information for families going through some of the most important moments of their lives. We operate in a regulated environment, and we're building the functions that keep us trustworthy as we grow.

We are a distributed team across the US and Latin America, working on Eastern Time.

The Role

This is a new seat in a newly established Internal Audit function. You'll work directly with the Internal Audit Manager and take on audits across several companies in our group, from planning to final report.

You'll bring the judgment of someone who has done this before: you can scope an audit, test controls, write findings that stand up to scrutiny, and sit across from a department head who disagrees with you. You'll also help shape how the function works, including methodology, templates and the risk-based audit plan.

What You'll Do

  • Plan and run risk-based audits across financial, operational and compliance areas, from scoping through fieldwork, reporting and remediation follow-up.
  • Test controls for design and operating effectiveness, and document your work so anyone can follow your logic.
  • Write clear findings and agree on realistic remediation plans with process owners.
  • Interview department heads and process owners to understand how work really gets done and where the risks are.
  • Contribute to the annual risk assessment and the audit plan that follows from it.
  • Help build the function: workpaper templates, risk and control matrices, testing standards and reporting formats.
  • Review the work of others and give clear, constructive feedback.
  • Partner with Compliance on risk and control topics, while keeping Internal Audit's independence.

What You Bring

  • 4+ years of internal audit or equivalent assurance experience, including controls testing and audit reporting.
  • Experience reviewing other auditors' workpapers, or leading parts of an audit.
  • A background in internal audit consulting or advisory (Big 4, a mid-tier firm or a risk advisory practice) or in-house internal audit at a regulated company.
  • Experience with risk assessments and risk and control matrices (RCMs).
  • Strong written and verbal communication. You can explain a finding to an executive and to the person who owns the process.
  • Comfort working independently and asynchronously in a remote team.
  • CPA, CIA or CISA preferred.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in financial services, payments, escrow, insurance or healthcare.
  • Familiarity with SOX, SOC 2 or similar frameworks.
  • Experience with audit tools (e.g., AuditBoard, TeamMate) and data analysis.

Who Thrives Here

  • You're curious, ask good questions and learn new areas fast.
  • You challenge your own work and welcome challenge from others.
  • You take pride in the craft and in the team, not in your title.
  • You're honest about what you don't know yet.
  • You work well with all kinds of personalities, including people who aren't thrilled to be audited.

What We Offer

  • Fully remote role, with home-office equipment provided.
  • Health insurance through Cigna.
  • 401(k) retirement savings plan with employer match.
  • Unlimited PTO, plus your birthday off and a Day of Purpose.
  • A trust-based culture: we don't track hours. We care about ownership, outcomes and how we work together.
  • A professional development roadmap built with your manager, with room to grow your craft.
  • The chance to help build a function from the ground up.

Eligibility

This is a full-time, US-based W-2 position. Candidates must reside in the United States and be authorized to work in the US without current or future visa sponsorship. We do not work with staffing agencies or Corp-to-Corp arrangements for this role. Interviews are conducted on video with camera on.

SeedTrust Group is an equal opportunity employer. We welcome applicants of all backgrounds and do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other legally protected characteristic.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability
Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 07/31/2029
Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
