Lead Full-Stack Engineer (AI-Native Technical Anchor) - Remote (USA/LATAM Based)

Remote
Full Time
Orchid Software Solutions
Manager/Supervisor

About Orchid

At Orchid Software Solutions, we are dedicated to transforming the assisted reproduction technology industry through software designed to increase efficiency and transparency in life-changing processes. We are at a pivotal moment, moving from "building fast" to "scaling right" at 10x velocity. We are looking for a Lead Full-Stack Engineer who can serve as the technical anchor for a high-performing remote team.

The Role: AI-Augmented "Player-Coach"

This position reports directly to our CTO. This is not a hands-off management role; you will be deeply embedded in the code while acting as the primary decision-maker for architecture and delivery. We are seeking a "builder" who leverages AI tools to multiply their impact and can defend technical decisions with passion, speed, and absolute clarity.

What You Will Do

  • Architectural Rigor: Lead the effort to "unblur" the lines between frontend and backend in our Next.js applications, ensuring scalability and a clean separation of concerns.
  • Technical Modernization: Act as the technical driver for migrating legacy systems (Flask/jQuery) into a modern, robust stack (Next.js/Node/TypeScript).
  • AI Productization: Design and implement RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) architectures and AI agent workflows to optimize medical and legal processes.
  • Data layer Ownership: Lead the optimization of complex PostgreSQL/MySQL queries and ensure our infrastructure scales to handle massive growth in clinical and financial records.
  • Lead by Velocity: Set the "gold standard" for the team by using AI-assisted development tools (Cursor, Copilot, LLMs) to drive unprecedented delivery speed without compromising quality.

Our Product Ecosystem & Technologies

We work across a diverse ecosystem of products spanning FinTech, MedTech, and Medical Documentation (SeedTrust, Veratru, and Gather).

  • Frontend: Next.js (App Router), React, Tailwind CSS, TypeScript.
Backend & Infra: Node.js, Python, Go (for high-performance services), AWS (Lambda, S3, ECS, RDS).
AI & Data: PostgreSQL (PgVector), MySQL, LangChain, and advanced LLM integrations.

What We’re Looking For

  • 7+ years of experience building and scaling production-grade web applications.
  • Full-Stack with a Backend/Infra Tilt: While you must master the modern frontend, this role requires deep knowledge in API design, microservices orchestration, and database optimization.
  • AI-Native Mindset: You already use AI tools daily to accelerate your workflow. You don't see AI as a "plus," but as a fundamental part of your development process.
  • High-Impact Communication: You can defend architectural trade-offs to the CTO and explain technical debt to the Product Director. We value energy, proactivity, and technical authority.
  • Startup Grit: You prefer the velocity of a 100-person company and thrive in environments characterized by rapid pivots and high autonomy.

Essential Requirements

  • Must be located in the United States or LATAM.
  • Ability to maintain a 6+ hour overlap with US Eastern Time (ET).
  • Must pass a background check.

Why Orchid?

  • Real Impact: Your work directly affects outcomes in the fertility and healthcare space.
  • Ownership: You will have the authority to make architectural decisions that stick.
  • Remote Culture: We are a fully remote team that values autonomy and clear async communication.

OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026
Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
