About Orchid Software Solutions

Orchid Software Solutions is a fast-growing health-tech group building high-impact software for the assisted reproduction industry. We handle sensitive medical, legal, and financial data across products like Seed Trust (Fintech/Escrow) and Gather (Medical Records). We are currently scaling from 50 to 100 people and tackling significant technical debt by migrating to modern architectures.

About the Role

Gather Records handles complex data workflows, including OCR processing, medical record summaries, and intricate business logic. We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer who excels at testing complex backend systems and data-heavy workflows.

You will be responsible for validating the "brain" of the product, ensuring that case transitions, invoice management, and data syncs are flawless. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys breaking down complex business rules and ensuring data integrity across the entire pipeline.

Key Responsibilities

  • Backend Automation: Expand and maintain existing Python-based test suites (Flask environment) to cover API and business logic edge cases.
  • End-to-End Workflow Testing: Validate complex user journeys, from initial intake forms to final summary builds and case transitions.
  • Data Validation: Test critical business logic scenarios, such as processing day calculations, partial records from agencies, and multi-user conflict scenarios.
  • Frontend Regression: Build and maintain a regression suite for our Next.js frontend using Playwright or Cypress.
  • Integration: Set up and optimize CI pipeline triggers to ensure automated tests run on every push, maintaining high deployment standards.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in QA Automation with a specialized focus on Backend and API Testing.
  • Strong proficiency in Python. Experience with Pytest and working within a Flask environment is a significant plus.
  • Solid understanding of SQL and data modeling. You must be comfortable validating complex reports and database logs.
  • Experience with Playwright or Cypress for frontend automation.
  • Asynchronous Patterns: Ability to handle and test asynchronous patterns (OCR/AI processing pipelines).
  • English Fluency: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for a global team environment.
  • Domain Interest: Experience or interest in Health-Tech and handling sensitive data.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Monthly Compensation: $4,500 - $6,500 USD (Based on seniority and technical fit).
  • 100% Remote: Work from anywhere in LATAM.
  • Stability & Growth: Join a scaling company with clear product ownership and long-term vision.
  • Technical Challenge: Help solve complex logic problems in a mission-critical healthcare environment.

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
