Who We Are

Orchid Software Solutions is an ecosystem of health-tech products for the assisted reproduction industry. Each product serves a different niche:

  • SeedTrustFintech / Escrow. The escrow and payments platform for surrogacy.
  • Veratru (IDRE)Gov-Tech / Healthcare. A platform for independent medical dispute resolution.
  • Gather RecordsHealth-Tech / AI. AI-powered processing of sensitive medical records.
  • Orchid JMSCore SaaS Platform. Our Journey Management System, the backbone that ties the ecosystem together.

We're hiring QA Automation Engineers (AI Focus) to become part of these product teams and own automated quality end-to-end — with AI at the center of how we test.

The Role

We're building our QA practice around AI-powered test automation. This is not a manual-testing role and not a click-through QA role — it's an automation engineering role where AI is the core tool, not an add-on.

You'll use AI-powered and agentic testing tools to generate, maintain, and scale automated coverage across our products, backed by solid automation-engineering fundamentals. On some products there's little or no automated coverage today — your mission is to build it from the ground up, fast, using AI to get there. You're automation-first, comfortable in ambiguity, and you take full ownership of quality.

Responsibilities

  • AI-Driven Test Automation (core): Use AI-powered / agentic testing tools to generate, self-heal, and maintain automated tests, dramatically scaling coverage and keeping it current with a fast-moving codebase.
  • End-to-End Automation: Build and maintain robust E2E suites with Playwright (or equivalent) across complex, integrated user journeys.
  • API & Integration Automation: Automate API/integration coverage with Rest Assured / Postman, including mocking and service virtualization for fast, isolated feedback.
  • CI/CD Quality Gates: Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar) as enforced gates.
  • Test Stability & Reliability: Reduce flakiness, enable parallel execution, and keep results trustworthy.
  • Cross-Functional Ownership: Partner with developers and product owners to align test strategy and, where you can, fix the platform issues you uncover.

Qualifications

  • AI QA Automation (must-have, #1 priority): Significant, hands-on experience with AI-powered / agentic testing tools (e.g. testRigor, mabl, QA Wolf, Applitools, Octomind, Meticulous, or similar) — using AI to generate, maintain, and scale automated testing. This is the single most important requirement.
  • Engineer-in-Test: You can code. Solid in JavaScript/TypeScript (Java or Python also welcome) — you build and debug automation frameworks, not just scripts.
  • E2E Automation: Hands-on with Playwright (or Selenium) and browser dev tools.
  • API Testing: Strong with Rest Assured and/or Postman.
  • CI/CD: Comfortable wiring automated tests into pipelines.
  • Cloud: Working experience with AWS (EC2, S3, CloudWatch).
  • Experience: 3+ years in test automation. We prioritize demonstrated automation + AI capability over raw years.
  • Automation-First Mindset: We are explicitly not hiring for manual-only QA.
  • Communication: Strong English (C1+), direct and collaborative.

Bonus

  • Understanding of LLMs / AI app development (we build AI products, not just test with AI tools).
  • Node.js / Next.js familiarity (to fix the platform, not just test it).
  • Docker / containerized test environments.
  • ISTQB and/or AWS certifications.
  • Health-tech, fintech, or regulated-domain testing experience.

Why Join Us

  • AI-First Quality: Build a modern, AI-driven QA practice from scratch — no legacy testing org to fight.
  • Real Engineering: This is an engineering role; you work in the codebase, not around it.
  • Meaningful Purpose: Your work helps families navigate the journey of assisted reproduction.
  • High Autonomy: Fully remote, ownership over micromanagement.

Compensation: Up to $5,600 USD/month Location: Remote — LATAM based. Full-time engagement as an independent contractor; you must be able to work within US Eastern (EST) business hours.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability
Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 05/31/2026
Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
